The free and unrestricted access of any person in Romania to information of public interest, as defined by Law no. 544/2001, is one of the fundamental principles of the relationship between individuals and public institutions. Information of public interest means any information regarding the activities or resulting from the activities of a public authority or institution, regardless of the support or form or mode of expression of the information.

To ensure access to information of public interest, the Public Information and Relations Department operates within the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, a structure that has responsibilities in this area.
