Council of Doctoral Studies

The governing body of the Doctoral School is the Doctoral Studies Council. Given that there is only one Doctoral School within UTCB, the duties and responsibilities of the Doctoral Studies Council are assumed by the Council of the Doctoral School.

The Council of the Doctoral School is responsible for:

• preparing the Regulation of the Doctoral School;
• preparing and implementing the Strategy of the Doctoral School (General Strategic Plan, Medium Term Strategic Plan, Annual Implementation Plans);
• carrying out the Senate decisions regarding the Doctoral School;
• periodically analyzing the way in which the activities of the Doctoral School are carried out and taking appropriate measures to increase their efficiency;
• proposing to the UTCB Senate the granting and revocation, as the case may be, of the membership of the Doctoral School of some PhD supervisors;
• endorsing the registration and expulsion of doctoral students, at the proposal of the Ph.D supervisors who are members of the Doctoral School.
