Open Science for urban sustainability and resilience of the built environment
In the framework of the INSTRUCT 4 – CNFIS-FDI-2021-0144 project, UTCB Doctoral School launches the internal competition: Open Science for urban sustainability and resilience of the built environment
In the framework of this competition, the Doctoral School will fund, through the INSTRUCT4 project, a number of papers in top journals (Q1 or Q2) in Open Access regime. Journals can be of the conventional non-open type, but with the possibility to publish Open Access – in this case the Open publication fee will be covered, or of the Open Access type (Frontiers, MDPI, etc.) with the publication fee covered. The competition is open on a first-come-first-served basis within the limit of the dedicated budget, depending on the amounts requested.
The eligibility conditions are:
(a) The article has been reviewed and accepted for publication or is at an advanced stage of review (2nd revision, 3rd minor revision, etc.).
(b) The article must be co-authored by at least one doctoral student and at least one academic staff member from UTCB
(c) Payment of the invoice must be possible before 1.09.2021.
Competition launch: 17.06.2021 Deadline for proposals: 15.07.2021
Proposals should be sent to scoala.doctorala@utcb.ro with the mention in the title of the email: Open Science internal competition
Proposals will contain:
– Title, authors, abstract – in the body of the email
– Annexes – Article – Correspondence or print screen from the editorial platform showing the stage of publication of the article
In order to support those who want to publish in top journals, also within the INSTRUCT 4 – CNFIS-FDI-2021-0144 project, the team organizing the Scientific Advice Workshops proposes, on Thursday 1.07.2021, a meeting at 18:00 on the Microsoft Teams platform on the General channel of the Scientific Advice Workshop team (team code: uru3g0q). During the meeting, the ways in which applicants to the internal grant competition to fund the publication of open source papers can be advised in the final drafting of scientific articles for Q1 and Q2 journals will be presented.
