Elections of PhD students representatives in CSUD

Dear fellow PhD students,
You are invited to the UTCB Doctoral School Students’ General Assembly, a meeting that will take place online, on the Microsoft Teams platform, on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 18:00. The purpose of the meeting is to elect 3 representatives of doctoral students in the CSUD – Council of Doctoral University Studies.

We would like to remind you of the governing structures of UTCB:

 

Art. 50. The governing structures of the Technical University of Constructions Bucharest are: the University Senate, the Administrative Council, the Doctoral Studies Council, the Doctoral School Council, the Faculty Councils and the Department Councils.

 

CSUD has the following tasks and responsibilities:

 

  1. develops the Doctoral School Regulations;
  2. develops and implements the Doctoral School strategy (General Strategic Plan, Medium Term Strategic Plan, Annual Implementation Plans);
  3. proposes to the University Senate the creation or abolition of specializations;
  4. proposes for the Senate’s approval the enrolment figures for the Doctoral School;
  5. fulfills the decisions of the Senate regarding the Doctoral School;
  6. regularly reviews the implementation of the activities carried out within the Doctoral School and takes appropriate measures to increase their efficiency;
  7. analyzes the corresponding standardization orders from the PhD supervisors and the supervisory committees;
  8. grants or revokes, as the case may be, the membership of the Doctoral School to doctoral supervisors;
  9. sets minimum standards of scientific performance for granting or revoking the membership of the Doctoral School to doctoral supervisors;
  10. approves the matriculation and expulsion of doctoral students, at the proposal of the doctoral supervisors, members of the Doctoral School;
  11. assists the external evaluator in the evaluation process for accreditation/reaccreditation or provisional authorization of the Doctoral School;
  12. takes decisions in any other matters within its competence.
