Section: Current Ethical Challenges in Research and Higher Education – October 28, 2024

The Research Center in Applied Ethics (CCEA) is organizing the section Current ethical challenges in research and higher education, which will take place in physical format on October 28, 2024, within the Doctoral School Conference of the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest.

The event is addressed to students, teachers and researchers interested in applied ethics, ethics and academic deontology, integrity in conduct and research, ethics of translation, as well as other related research topics.

7th Conference of the UTCB Doctoral School

The aim of the the DSC 2024 conference is to bring together doctoral students and their scientific advisors from the Technical University of Civil Engineering and from the EU CONEXUS Consortium, to get to know each other better and to become aware of their presence as a research community. This event is intended to be a good exercise for the doctoral students, who will have the opportunity to present their papers in front of their colleagues and professors, in English.

For the DSC 2024 Research Conference, we invite you to submit a Full Scientific Article.

Accepted papers will be sent to E3S Web of Conferences in order to be published.

The publisher will submit the conference proceedings for evaluation to be indexed to SCOPUS and Clarivate Analytics Conference Proceedings Citation Index – CPCI (Web of Science).

• Authors must prepare their papers using our Microsoft Word templates, and then convert these to PDF format for submission:

• E3S Publisher is unable to answer the authors’ queries. The authors sould address any questions regarding their article (status, certificate, editorial question, indexing, etc.) to  contact@eenviro.ro.
• It is important to ensure that when you submit your paper, it is in its final form ready for publication, and has been thoroughly proofread. E3S do not copy, edit, or reformat papers and will not send out author proofs prior to publication.  Post-publication changes are not permitted, so please ensure that your paper has been checked for errors.

By submitting a paper, the author and all co-authors are assumed to agree with the terms of the E3S Web of Conferences – EDP Sciences.

As a summary, please ensure the following:

• Paper size is European A4.
• The paper includes the author name and affiliation (full address including country).
• The PDF is free of formatting errors (e.g. corrupt equations, missing or low-resolution figures), since conversion from Word to PDF can introduce formatting errors.
• The PDF file is editable and not password protected.
• All pages are portrait (landscape pages should be rotated).
• Reference lists are checked for accuracy. References can only be linked via Crossref if they are correct and complete.
• Figures are placed within the text, not collected at the end of the document.
• A thorough proofread is conducted to check the standard of English and ensure wording is clear and concise.

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

The Program Committee will review all the papers. The authors will be notified of their paper evaluation on the 1st of October 2024. The final paper delivery, with the required revisions, must be submitted by the 10th of October 2024.

The Scientific Committee holds the right to request the revision of the paper if it lacks adequate quality and rigor. All the papers will be evaluated by at least three members of the Scientific Committee. The revision will be accomplished by blind peer-review, to guarantee rigor and impartiality of the evaluation.  Selected papers must be presented at the conference in English.
