UTCB \ About \ Enable

A doctoral supervisor in the UTCB Doctoral School can be a UTCB teaching staff member, full professor or retired professor with a fixed-term employment contract, who obtained the right to be a doctoral supervisor before the entry into force of the National Education Law no. 1 / 2011, as well as persons who have obtained the habilitation certificate at the proposal of CNATDCU, having at least the position of head of works or scientific researcher grade III and who are part of the university community. UTCB doctoral supervisors, authorized in accordance with the legal conditions in force, automatically become members of the UTCB Doctoral School, their membership being confirmed by the University Senate. The revocation of membership of the Doctoral School is made by the Doctoral School Council, with the opinion of the University Senate, in the situations specified by the Doctoral School Regulations.
By affiliation approved by the University Senate, membership in the UTCB Doctoral School may also be granted to persons from the country or from abroad who hold the quality of doctoral supervisor in doctoral fields for which UTCB organizes doctoral studies, according to the law. The right to carry out the activity of doctoral supervisor can be realized only in the field for which this quality has been conferred and in one doctoral organizing institution.
The Doctoral School encourages UTCB’s teaching staff to obtain the doctoral habilitation certificate in accordance with the legal provisions and to become members of the Doctoral School.
If authorized PhD supervisors from outside UTCB wish to become members of the UTCB Doctoral School, they are kindly requested to submit a written application to the Doctoral School Secretariat.
