Open Science for urban sustainability and resilience of the built environment II
In the framework of the INSTRUCT 5 – CNFIS-FDI-2022-2022-0397 project, the Doctoral School of UTCB launches the internal competition: Open Science for urban sustainability and resilience of the built environment II
In the framework of this competition, the Doctoral School will fund, through the INSTRUCT5 project, a number of papers in top journals (Q1 or Q2) in Open Access regime. Journals can be of the conventional non-open type, but with the possibility to publish Open Access – in this case the Open publication fee will be covered, or of the Open Access type (Frontiers, MDPI, etc.) with the publication fee covered. The competition is open on a first-come-first-served basis within the limits of the dedicated budget, depending on the amounts requested.
The eligibility conditions are:
(a) The article has been reviewed and accepted for publication or is at an advanced stage of review (2nd revision, 3rd minor revision, etc.).
(b) The article must be co-authored by at least one doctoral student and at least one academic staff member from UTCB
(c) Payment of the invoice must be possible before 1.09.2022.
Competition launch: 15.04.2022 Deadline for proposals: 15.08.2022
Proposals should be sent to scoala.doctorala@utcb.ro with the mention in the title of the email: Open Science internal competition
Proposals will contain:
– Title, authors, abstract – in the body of the email
– Annexes – Article – Correspondence or print screen from the editorial platform showing the stage of publication of the article
In order to support those who want to publish in top journals, a series of seminars and support workshops will be organized within the INSTRUCT 5- CNFIS-FDI-2022-0397 project:
- Training seminar on the norms and rules for designing and writing a scientific paper for master’s, PhD, post-doctoral and habilitation candidates: Writing a journal article; Technical and scientific English for Q1 and Q2 journals(June 2022) – date to be announced soon!
- hands-on writing workshop for journal articles, examples of effective linguistic, technical, scientific writing ( October 2022)
- training seminars on the use of documentation resources necessary for scientific work ( October 2022)
